THE ANXIOUS ECONOMY

As part of my ‘Future Thinking’ brief, I was asked to rigorously explore a macro trend of my choice, giving consideration to both trend drivers and consequences. I chose to research Health and Wellbeing, with a particular focus on ‘The Anxious Economy’, as anxiety is unfortunately epitomising the current climate. The report highlighted how consumers are responding to their internal anxieties and how this will be carried forward in the future. Both secondary research and exhibitions such as ‘ON EDGE: Living in an Age of Anxiety’ informed this body of work.
